Back in Tempe…Jake turns 29
Yesterday was pure madness. My boy Jake just turned 29, and we decided to celebrate the only way we knew how: by reliving our glory days at the Arizona State vs. Wyoming game and partying like we were still undergrads.
It’s been a few years since the boyz all went to a game at Sun Devil Stadium, but pulling up felt like we’d never left. The vibes were electric, the heat was no joke, and the beer was already calling our names. Before the game, I hit up Mill Ave early to get into the full Sun Devil spirit. And obviously, I couldn’t show up without looking the part. So, I swung by Cactus Sports and grabbed a fresh ASU t-shirt. But you know me—I wasn’t about to rock it as is. I cut those sleeves right off to let the guns breathe. Gotta let the biceps get some air time, right? Nothing says game day like showing off the gains.
Once I was all geared up and Jake was fully pumped, we headed straight to the Coors Light tailgate. We hit it hard, man… four free drinks per person is no joke. The tailgate was packed with so many washed-up alums it was amazing. It was classic ASU, and we were loving every second of it.
When the game kicked off, it was all-out chaos. The Sun Devils came to play, and so did we. Every touchdown had us jumping, flexing, and screaming our heads off. It was one of those games where you just couldn’t sit down. By the 4th quarter, ASU already had the game in the bag, so we thought we’d get a head start on Mill Ave to show these students how real ASU students should party.
The street was packed with Sun Devils celebrating the win, and we made sure to hit all our old favorite spots. Drinks were flowing, the music was blasting, and every now and then someone would call out, “Nice guns, bro!” I couldn’t help but flex a little harder every time.
The squad pulled up to Rodeo, and we filled in, but I got kicked out because of my cut-off shirt. I guess the bouncer didn’t like the gun show… All good, though; our CEO Kyle paid off the bouncers, telling them, “We run this city.” And just like that, we were back in business.
Jake was living it up, and honestly, we all were. We partied like it was senior year all over again, reminiscing about the wild nights we somehow survived and making a few more memories to laugh about when we’re older (or at least trying to piece together the next day).
Turning 29 didn’t slow us down one bit. ASU will always be home, and weekends like this are proof that you never really outgrow the Sun Devil life. Here’s to Jake, to the boys, and to showing off the biceps whenever you can. Forks up, baby!
Sincerely,
Sinadinos
